【基本含义】 “出”

out一般只有和of搭配时才能当介词（out of），单独使用时一般是副词： 【引申含义】

（1）从...出发，从...出来 from inside eg: He ran out of the house.

He could not get this out of his mind. （3）out of表示没有，缺少 lacking sth eg: We are out of petrol.

I’ve been out of touch with them for a great many years. （4）用...制作的 be made from... eg: Flour is made out of wheat.

It seems that the table is made out of ivory. （5）因为，由于 because of eg: I came out of interest.
