Step 4 Pairwork 1.

1）Practice asking to describe different weather in 1a. Then ask some pairs of them to act their conversations in front of the blackboard loudly.

2）Talk about weather in pairs freely.

Imagine you are in some place, maybe it is a country or a city. Talk about the weather by using the target language below: A: Hi! How’s the weather in Xiangchen.

B: It’s sunny.

A: Really?

B: It’s raining here in Suzhou.

.Step 5. Listening

1）Do part 1b.

Listen carefully and fill in the blanks in 1a correctly. Then check answers.

2）Do part 2a.

Play the record and make correct orders of the pictures Then try to make a description of them, such as

A: What is he doing?

B: He is talking on the phone.

Step 6. Pair work 2.

Now, practice the things we have learned in 2a and make a conversation like this

A:What’s Uncle Joe doing?

B:He’s playing basketball.

Step 7. Writing.

Ask four pairs of students to write their conversations about asking the weather on the blackboard and two to write the other conversations about pairwork 2.

Then check the answers and the teacher will make a summery about what we have learned today.
