Many school students cannot finish their homework before 10 o’clock in the evening. Textbook exercises have become a great burden on children and they hardly have time for play. This is something we should worry about.

Enjoying nature and playing are part of children’s lives and also a necessary part of their growing up.

Textbooks are important in the sense that they help children get knowledge, but other kinds of study are important. Some teachers point out that children have little imagination when they are asked to write compositions, they often have nothing interesting to say. Sitting in classroom all day, they have no chance to enjoy nature. How can we hope that they will develop creative ability? Nature is another kind of textbook and a far more important one for children. Teachers should put more tome and energy into encouraging students to learn nature.

56. The writer mainly wants to tell us________________.

A. the students spend too much time on their homework

B. the students should have more time to play and enjoy nature

C. the parents should worry about their children’s school life

D. the teachers should help students with their trouble on study
