Good morning, dear judges. I’m the No.6 candidate applying for High School English teacher. My title is: Friendship. Now I’ll begin my presentation.

Good morning, guys! It’s nice to see you again after a weekend. So, how about your weekend? Okay, I know you are not satisfied with that short rest and you didn’t get enough enjoyment. But, you have to know one thing: time is so previous that we should balance the learning and the rest. In fact, being together with your classmates is also very happy, right? Good! I think most friends in your life are from those school days. So, why not talking about friends today?
All right, how do you think of friends? First, I will show you a 5 minutes video clip from a popular TV series Friends, in Chinese, 老友记. Maybe some of you have already watched this video, but this time please pay more attention to the subtitles, okay? (Clip is over…) now, I want to ask someone to tell me what you have seen from this clip? How about Jason? Can you say something?
Thank you! I believe a lot of people will have their understanding of a good friend. So, we have a questionnaire in our textbook--Warming up:Are you good to your friends? Please finish it in 5 minutes, okay? Time’s up! Now, please check your answer and get your scores. This questionnaire doesn’t matter how high scores you get. It is a self-check.
But, I think you have to consider a question: why do you need friend? Please make of list of reasons and you can discuss with your desk mate. Okay, is there any volunteer who can tell me the reasons? Great, Lucy! Thank you, Lucy, good points! Sit down, please. Lucy needs friends to study together and support each other! And how about Jack. In your mind, why do you need friends? Today, we will know a girl whose friend is not a person. If you want to know why, please

Language points

I have got a loose tooth. Some loose pages fell out of the book.
5. purpose n. [C] an intention or plan; a person’s reason for an action.

The purpose of a trap is to catch and hold animals.

Useful expressions
1. add up to join (numbers or amounts ) so as to find the total.
2. calm down to make or become calm
3. be concerned about \with to worry or interest
4. go through 1) to suffer or experience;
2) to look at or examine carefully;

5. set down 1) to make a written record of; write down
