The filter frames shall clip into mating holding frames, which shall be secured to the ductwork plenum and sealed each side with silicone sealant to prevent bypass. The mounting frames shall be capable of being hooked together to provide a modular multi-cell bank if required. Support frames shall clip into the mounting frames and have retaining spring clips. Where more than 3 mounting frames are bolted together provide a stiffening bar to prevent distortion.

Type D filters shall consist of a continuous pleated paper media separated by corrugated aluminium separators located within a rigid galvanised steel frame. The media and separators shall be sealed into the frame airtight such that there is no leakage around the media or frame.

Media shall provide an average efficiency of particulate capture of not less than 95% to particles of size 0.3 micron or greater and shall be tested by the manufacturer in the factory prior to delivery. Unless otherwise stated, all filters shall be mechanical seal type and shall be fitted with a 20mm x 6mm neoprene rubber gasket fixed by adhesive to the downstream face of the frame. The gasket shall be continuous along its entire length without joint.
