Construction paper, scissors and glue are all things you need for DIY of a paper lantern. First, fold a rectangular piece of paper in half, and cut along the folded edge every 4 cm. Don’t cut all the way to the edge of the paper, leaving about 2 cm at the top of each cut. Next, unfold the paper, and roll it into a cylinder. Then apply glue along the short edges and press the paper together. Last, make the handle of the lantern by cutting a strip of construction paper 12 cm long and 1 cm wide, and glue the strip cut-out to the inside edges of the lantern’s top margin.
