T:oh my god.I hate the bad weather.

L:yeah, I hate waiting for connecting flights in the airport.

F: Really? I think it's interesting.

D:What?This is a bad ending of our vacation. Don't you think it's a waste of time.

F: No. I use the free time to shop in the duty-free shops.

L:Yes,You are a mall rat.

T:As you know,I cherish time very much.I can’t impatient of delay. D:Clam down.Let’s talk about something to kill time.

L:Good idea.Mr.Tan how do you go to work?

T: I drive to work everyday. And how do you go to work?

L: I usually go to work by bus or by subway

F:Me ,too. That's so convenient and comfortable. Sometimes, driving is very dangerous. You'll never know what will happen on the road. D:Besides, parking in the big city is a big problem.

T:I don’t think so. I would spend almost 40 minutes in traffic jam. It's really a waste of time. It takes me about 15 minutes to get to the office. I don't have to get up so early anymore.

L:I am just wondering what is considered to be a waste of time ? F; Internet games.

D: idle talk.

T: I think sleep is wasting of time. I occupy the sleeping time to work,study,play games and so on.

F：you are a workaholic. T:I just want to make every minute count. F: There is not a moment to be lost.it’s your principle?

T:Yes.

T:This airline is really bad.I can’t stand it .reture my time back to me. F:Oh,that gay told me our flight is coming.Take your baggage.Don,t

L:I feel expansive.

T: It's rather cold this summer.

L: Yeah. This is June,but it isn’t very hot.

D: In a word, we have abnormal weather all over the world this year. F: Absolutely. And there're so many natural disasters in recent years, such as the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami and the 2008 Wenchuan Earthquake. T: There are also new diseases--SARS and H1N1, they kills a lot of people.

L: According to the Mayan calendar, Dec. 21, 2012 is the end of the world. Maybe that's true.

D: But a Mayan elder insists 2012 is not the end of the world,"definitely not. "

F: Anyway, I think the prediction is a wake-up call.

T: Yeah. We should pay more attention to environmental protection, and try our best to take good care of our unique earth.

L:By the way. Look at my phone I searched on the Internet and found some pictures. These poor children were walking in the polluted water to find something valued. And that guy was washing clothes in such a disgusting river.

D: It looks gross.

F: There are so many environment problems in the world today. Do you think we can really solve them all or will destroy the world?

T: I hope that world leaders can get together and agree on a plan for action, but I doubt it’ll happen before it’s too late.

L: We need to solve the problem of pollution before we destroy the environment..

D:There’s lots of clean, modern technology, but companies in developed countries say it`s expensive. Developing countries put more emphasis on economic development than on environment protecting.

F: Everyone is looking at the issue in the short term, rather than the long term It`s the same with the destruction of the rainforests. Countries and companies just want the wood. They`re not thinking about the long- term damage to the forests.

T: What we can do is to protect our environment. Do not talk here and do nothing. We should make sure what we can do in our daily life, such as what can buy and what should be boycotted. [ b ik t]

L：That’s true. Someone always talk loudly and do nothing for the environment.

D: Advertising campaign is a good idea.We must let the people know how important the pollution is.

F:How about join the environment protecting organization .

T:Environment protecting is a big problem.There are a lot of things we can do and we must do.

LFD:We know.hehe!!

Success in life

T: How bright the moon is! I wish my future is promissing like this. D: You will succeed! I believe you.

T: Thanks. But I was thinking how to achieve my dream.

F: You know, There are lots of factors contributing to success.

L: Yes, being succeed is not so easy for us. What are the keys to success? D: Diligence. I think you must be diligent if you wanna be successful. You should try hard everyday.

F: I agree with you. But in my opinion, determination is very important. It can give you power, so you have much energe to work or study.

T: Good point! How about you, Miss Long?

L: Um…In my view, target(目标) is significant for us. If we have a goal, we will advance toward the direction. We can go ahead all the way.

T: Great! I have understood how to do for my dream. Previously, I tried to finding some ways. But I had never do a whole job!

F: I have the same experience to you. Sometimes I want to give up and then I feel so boring!

D: I had given up something ever. I remember I was not good at math, so I want to improve my math. But I had no determination and didn’t try hard. Then I given up. So my math was bad all along.

T: Oh, how about your math now?

D: My math is better than before . I’m satisfy with it because I make my mind to take exercise everyday and I try my best to do.

T: Congratulations to you!

F: So we should not be afraid of failure.

L: Yes, just do it !
