形容词比较级的用法

1、形容词比较级：在英语中，两者进行比较，强调"一方比另一方……"，可使用"A + is / are+ 形容词比较级+ than + B" 结构。than后主语的谓语动词可省略，than后的人称代词可用宾格。例如：He is younger than I (am).他比我年轻。

I am a better swimmer than he (him).我游泳比他好。口诀：I．变比较级形式

前有甲、后有乙中间来个比较级。比较级前用个be,比较级后用个"比"(than)。2、需要掌握的形容词比较级的形式：

口诀：原级变成比较级,er结尾要牢记；一般情况直接加,单辅重闭双写加；辅

音加y变i加,以e结尾去e加；少数部分双音节,规则如同单音词。其余双音

多音节,词前加more就可以；不规则词没几个,它们需要特殊记。

tall, taller, short, shorter, old, older, young, younger, strong, stronger, heavy, heavier, long, longer, thin, thinner, big, bigger, small, smaller.

规则情况加法例词

一般情况：加er small---smaller 以e结尾的词加r large—larger 以辅音字母+y结尾的词变y为i，再加er easy—easier

以一个辅音字母+元音字母+辅音字母结尾的词将这辅音字母双写再加er hot—hotter

thin—thinner

有三个或三个以上音节的词加more 或less beautiful—more beautiful;

attractive---less attractive

不规则的形容词的比较级和最高级：

口诀：

合二为一有三对,

"病坏""两多"与"两好",①

一分为二有两个,

一个"远"来一个"老"。②

还有一个双含义,

只记"少"来别记"小"。③

注：

①ill/ bad→worse→worst; many/ much→more→most; good/well→better→

best

②far→farther/further→farthest/furthest; old/older/elder→oldest/

eldest

③little→less→least

4 如果表示与…….一样……,使用as…as 或者not as/so…as…；例如：He is not as tall as his brother. He doesn’t have as much money as his sister does.

5 可以用much, far, even, a little等来修饰形容词的比较级。例如：He is much shorter than his son. She has even longer fingers than her mother.

6有些形容词一般没有比较等级。如：right, wrong, woolen等。
