An Eye-witness Account of a Traffic Accident

I am Liming, a college student. A week ago I

witnessed a traffic accident. The accident brought the traffic in disorder for a long time, which is still vivid in my mind. (描述背景段)

It was at about 9:00 on Saturday morning, June 15, when I was on my way to visiting a friend of th

mine at another university. Suddenly I heard a loud crash behind me. Two taxis crashed together. Fortunately, both drivers were not hurt too much, but two broken taxis blocked the road. As a result, a lot of cars were jammed on the road for a few hours and the traffic was influenced seriously. (叙述经过段)

Many reasons contributed to this traffic accident. It is clearly seen from the stopping track on the road that the two taxis were driving too fast. But in my opinion, it was more because the taxi drivers were eager to take more passengers and make a little more money. Besides, both drivers didn’t show concern for one another. Both of them wanted to overtake the other. Therefore, the accident could have been avoided if the drivers kept it in their mind that a little slower, a little safer. (阐述观点段)
