The essentiality of the preparation work is able to be accounted by the following

example .As a matter of fact, the method accounts more than the results for the majority of situations, For instance, a student who wants to win outstanding academic performance ought to learn the effective and reasonable methods and approaches for memory and comprehension of the subjects such as physics, chemistry, mathematics and so on. The workers in the factories should learn to master the technique of operating the machines beforehand and in this way can they produce the qualified goods and merchandises.

Generally speaking ，Lincoln’s remark “give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four hours sharpening the axe ”reveals the imperative of make preparation .Undoubtedly, only by arranging beforehand can we achieve success whenever we face the perplexing and tough situations.

A strong will and great efforts are the most essential two keys to the door of success.

Why do people fail to achieve their goal? The reason is that most of them give up halfway due to their lack of a strong will once they encounter any difficulty. A man of a strong will always sticks to his cause no matter how tough it might be. Would Thomas Edison be such a great man in history if he had done nothing but possessing a strong will? We are all familiar with his story that he had tried one thousand kinds of materials before he finally made his great bulb light up. Without hard effort, Edison might have been a nobody. Without efforts, no one can succeed.

To sum up, a strong will and great efforts can help one open up the way to success. Where there is a will with efforts, there is a way.

The Way to Success

Success is something everyone looks for, longs for and dies for. But have you ever

considered what success is? Some may hold that success means one has beautiful life, like pretty house, cool cars and great power. It’s indeed one way to define success. But to me, success is doing something one really feels like doing.

To achieve this kind of success, one has to bear in mind three essential prerequisites, namely knowing where your interest really lies in, possessing the strong will to pursue your interest and having the diligence to realize your dream. In other words, they are “what” “why” and “how” of success. It’s really luckily good for one, especially for the

younger generation of today to find their dreams, follow them and in the end, make them come true and become successful.

Although it’s never easy to succeed, progressing with the strong will and diligence towards the right direction, you’ll be the one.

Green Travel

Recently the topic of green travel has been widely debated which has aroused public attention and has been more and more popular with people. To some extent, it has become a fashion. Undoubtedly, green travel has a pround impact on both enviroment and social, for its significance cannot be denied.

Green travel, especially public transport, makes a positive contribution to the environment and society. On one hand, public transport has the potential to reduce

transport CO 2 emissions, which is a major contributor to local air pollution and smog. In this sense, green travel makes the environment clean and gives people a healthy living environment. On the other hand, public transport plays an important role in reducing the social costs of transport include traffic jam and time taken away from the family while commuting and vulnerability to fuel price increases.

We have only one world we can live in. I hope through green travel can we protect the enviroment and save resources. In my opinion, no matter where we go, we are supposed to choose green travel. If you are near to the place which you go to, you can go there on foot or by bicycle. In this way can we protect our environmen and keep fit. If you are far away from it, you can choose going there by bus or by taxi with your friends.

On Water Shortage

No one can deny the fact that water shortage is a grave problem (严肃的问题) with which the whole world is confronted（面对）. Actually, it has become so widespread that it has severely affected people’s daily life and hindered（阻碍）the development of the global economy.

A number of factors could account for the problem, but the following might be the critical（关键性的）ones. Firstly，the ever-increasing （不断增长的） population is a leading cause of water shortage. As populations increase, the demand for water grows accordingly. secondly, people everywhere waste water without even realizing it(毫无意识的): showers last too long， taps are left running and so forth. Last but not least, the industrial production will cause water contamination (水污染)and it will also decrease the

existing water resources (现有的水资源)further more.

In view of the seriousness of the problem, effective measures must be taken before things get worse. For one thing, it is essential that laws and regulations be worked out and enforced（制定和执行） impose a heavy penalty on those who waste or contaminate waster deliberately .
